Executive Director - David Scheffler
David has been involved with the organizations for numerous years. He was the Chairman of the Destination Downtown Lancaster Board of Directors for three years, served on numerous committees and was awarded “Volunteer of the Year” two different years. He currently chairs the Placemaking Committee, organizes the Downtown public art project and Downtown Clean-Up Day. David will help keep the momentum of Downtown going as the Board looks to hire a permanent Executive Director to replace former director, Kate Ervin.
DDL Program Coordinator - Leslee Hanson
Leslee started with DDL as a volunteer in 2009 and was found to be so indispensable she was brought in part-time to handle Events & Marketing for DDL. She is a native of the Lancaster area and graduated from Fisher Catholic and Ohio University. When she’s not orchestrating the events downtown, she spends time with her husband, two young children, a large extended family in the area, and friends.
DDL Marketing Associate-Ellen Vail
Ellen started at DDL in January 2015 and moved into the role of the Marketing Associate. Ellen has a passion for supporting small businesses and wants to be a part of downtown's growth. She is a native of Lancaster, born and raised. She graduated from Lancaster High School, moved away for college and moved back. She lives downtown and works 10 hours a week for DDL while also working at Ale House 1890. She works, lives, and even plays downtown!
SID Maintenance Associate-Tom Bobbitt
SID Snow & Ice Removal-Kirkbride Lawn Care.
The SID annually contracts with local companies to provide snow and ice removal. Most recently we have used the services of Kirkbride Lawn Care.
Downtown Ambassador-Colin Hietikko
Colin is a passionate and ambitious young man who strives to serve and represent the downtown community. He has been a dedicated volunteer for DDL and many other organizations throughout his high school career. As he goes on to a higher education, he wants to continue his involvement in the community as well as becoming invested in the growth of Downtown Lancaster. Colin is tasked with finding creative ways to promote downtown to people of all ages but particularly those in high school.
