As a Lancaster, Ohio native, Julie Moskal always dreamed of being an artist. At the age of 14 she began oil painting, Through the years she tried many different artistic medias. In 2004 she received her first professional camera and finally found her niche in the world of art. For Julie, photography is not just snapping a photo but rather a creative outlet to express a mood or feeling while capturing an image.

There is endless creativity in the art of photography. The selection of a lens, to the settings in the camera, lighting and post-processing are all part of the creative process. Even the way you compose an image can change the mood of an image.

Julie enjoys nature and landscape photography, but her passion lies in travel and street photography.

Julie is mostly a self-taught photographer, although she has had some formal training at CCAD, Pop Photo Mentor Series, Kelby One seminars and various online courses.

Julie has won numerous amateur and professional photo contests, has been published in contest catalogues, as well as some local publications. Her works have also been displayed in many professional juried shows as well as an art gallery for 4 years.

Julie also enjoys ballroom and Latin dancing and has participated in a pro-am dance contest where she did very well. She also enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her family including her husband and children.
